Prospects for 2007 Home Sales
Recent reports have indicated an increase in new home sales (new construction homes). This bodes well for the upcoming year. 2006 wasn’t the best year for new home sales or sales in general. However with these new reports from 4th quarter 2006 and the current interest rates lowering 2007 could show increases in both areas.
What this means for you? Well a number of things, if you have been waiting to purchase a home the time might be best before prices start trending upward. On the flip side if you have been trying to sell you might have some more interest. Finally if its time to refinance the new sales in your area could push your home’s value a little higher.
